About FUAB

The Federal University of Agriculture, Bassambiri, Bayelsa State (FUAB) is a new federal university established in 2023 by the Federal Government of Nigeria to expand access to high-quality education in agriculture and allied disciplines. Located in Bassambiri, Opu-Nembe Kingdom, Nembe LGA, Bayelsa State, FUAB links teaching and research to the Niger Delta’s rich agricultural and marine resources. Academic activities commence in the 2025/2026 session with a student-centred, hands-on learning model aligned to NUC standards.
